• The use of Billy Crystal and songs, movie edited montages, and general old people jokes made the academy happy, because this year was about old hollywood (every younger person, even penelope cruz was trying to be grace kelly or audrey hepburn. thank god for angelina and meryl, right?
• Anyway there won’t be another young host for a long time. Franco just had to get high first, which i understand but still. TOM HANKS 2013!!!!! It seems so obvious, to have him host. HANKS!
• I knew the Artist would sweep it, duh, OLD hollywood was the theme last night. It is always forever about politics. Not that it was undeserving, dont get me wrong
• If you haven’t noticed the oscars are like my superbowl.
• i love that kristen wiig and maya rudolph pulled off a super lengthy (pun not intended) dick joke. at the academy awards. 
• on the other hand, cameron and jlo showing their booties was WAY too tacky. a well stated dick joke is never tacky, imho
• also, byrne and mccarthy with their drinking game- perfect.
• Bret McKenzie winning an oscar! So proud of him.
• i’m glad woody won for writing…i predicted that one but i’m sad he wasn’t at the show.
• overall, it was enjoyable except for billy crystal’s out of touch jokes and frozen forehead. oh and that stupid fucking cirque du soleil thing. OLD PEOPLE
